REVIEW: Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2023

Sodi Cookey performed with his band on Friday 28 April 2023 at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival’s Free Stage.

The day threatened rain, but all was heat and afro-jazz inside the tent with Sodi Cookey and his band having a funky good time with an appreciative audience. Cookey squeezed a 11 song set into his allotted hour and still managed to joke with his bass player, Michael Searl while getting the crowd dancing. The day was pure beats and vibes and with a promise to return in 2024, Sodi Cookey left the stage with everybody happy.
